A role of a Sniper is supposed to be a long range lockdown tool. IMO Snipers should always one-shot to the head. 190 or so would be great for higher rarities. The higher rarity versions of the HR (purple/gold) would also be good but for pubs only.Īs for shotguns, yeah I can agree that they shouldn’t hit for 200+ but they should at least hit close to that number on a headshot to reward better aim.
All they need is a spawn rate that isn’t too high like it was in C2S3, it should be just right. They were also super satisfying to use and even gave a feeling of thrill when playing against them. Of course, I can see the reason why one-shot headshot scoped snipers like the bolt-action and heavy were disliked by a lot of people (although personally I loved them), but the green/blue hunting rifles were the epitome of balanced and never felt problematic. It was still forgiving for the user though, because it had a fast reload and pretty good versatility. They were very rewarding for players who could track headshots while using normal crosshairs instead of a proper scope, which meant that getting killed by it at outlandish distances wasn’t very likely.
IMO I really liked the green/blue hunting rifles as one-shot headshot weapons. If we want to have it fair&fun for everyone i suggest balancing guns at more immersive level which means realistic limits and goes off of cartoonish fantasy Hell we had a heavy sniper rifle (by definition of ZASTAVA anti-material sniper rifle) it would be anti-material rifle which can go through 40+mm thick metal on tanks yet what epic gave it is oneshoting of whole metal build and nothing else Snipers we have now are great but again i believe taking off headshot damage and making its bullet be able to shoot through one build witout breaking it instead damaging it would make sence because IRL sniper can kill you without even needing to hit you into critical part of body and can usually ram a bullet through objects albeit that bullet now has way less speed meaning less lethality We need to have versatility which encourages rock paper scissors system Yes i was also killed by sniper from some BS distancesīut i also killed with the sniper from BS distances
